High School Diploma Program for Veterans of World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War
More than 60 years after WWII broke out, the Kentucky legislature passed House Bill 45 authorizing school districts to issue high school diplomas to veterans whose high school education was interupted by the global conflict. The 2004 General Assembly passed House Bill 113 which authorized diplomas for veterans who served during the Korean War. Further, HB 230 passed during the 2005 session authorizing diplomas for Vietnam veterans.
All we need in order to get the ball rolling is an application and a copy (not the original) of the veteran's discharge papers. Send these items to:
KDVA 1111B Louisville Road Frankfort, KY 40601
We will verify the service and provide written verification to the school district and the veteran.
